A Little InterludeI set out at dusk When the horizon is aglow with amber. The forest is hushed with shadows To the ignorant ear But as my bare feet stride across the cool Earth That welcomes my prescence, I hear the whispers of the trees And the voices of the creatures all around me. The forest is very much alive. At last I reach the clearing carpeted with moss. The wind courses its fingers Through the length of my hair And lifts my gaze upward to the majesty of the sky.
